So where the heck has SPOUT been? (part 1)
Hey everyone. We thought it would be a good idea to answer this question before missing person reports get filed by fans, friends, and family alike.
Last month was a hell of a month for all of us. Stacy moved into a brand new place, a nice two-story house of his own. It's got wood floors, a big backyard, and a great space downstairs for us to practice and record. I was built by a one-armed leprauchan and his family in 1899 as a place for weary travelers to "come and get" some rest as they traveled out west for the great Gold Rush of '99.

The bird's-eye view. See Stacy in his underwear.
Late one night, after helping some with the move, I got hit head-on by a drunk going the wrong way on a one-way interstate overpass (24W -> 440W, for you Nashville people). My beloved and long-held '91 station wagon was no more, but it gave me a chance to get something bigger and better that we could use to get our stuff to shows.

One last look at the wagon.
Chizzle's apartment got burglarized by a couple of kids, who overlooked his Gibson guitars in favor of his movie collection, including some of our favorite "naughty" selections. Fortunately, it was about this time that Stacy discovered about six full boxes of porn in his attic. Call us lucky.
After our show in Bowling Green, OH, we spent a day out at Cedar Point, home of the world's best roller coasters. We went on every one of them, including a new one that shoots you up to 420 feet at 122 mph! We ate so many bugs that we got away with a light dinner.

Roller-coasters + beer + standing on one foot = SPOUT!

Every moment we've had free outside of rehearsing and performing has been spent mixing our new album and getting every detail perfect. An unfortunate thing about us is that we're all extreme perfectionists, and so it takes us weeks to do a song, but the results are fantastic and it's going to be well worth the wait. We just wrapped up mixing on "Victim" and are moving pretty quickly through the rest. We're even taking the next few weeks off from performing just to stay focused.
But I have to say, spending a night in a small basement room with a bunch of guys who just ate pizza is not the best-smelling or glamorous job in Nashville...
