Q: How much rock can Nash-Vegas
handle at once?
A: Buzzfest.
This was a kick ass experience to play at the AmSouth
Amphitheatre. The biggest names in every musical genre have
performed on these stages.
Everything was laid out smoothly for us by 102.9 The Buzz. They
did a great job making it low stress for the musicians.
The set started with Natalie, the token rock chick, (DJ at 102.9 The
Buzz) introducing us. Being a Spout fan herself,
she made everyone shout "suck it" as we kicked into "Come
and Get It".
As the rock spread into the ears of the unsuspecting, our crowd tripled
within the first verse.
A local DJ told us that he was approached by not one, but two record
labels looking for our contact info. Coincidence or not, the
following monday morning we had a major label contact us asking us to
send a CD of SPOUT to them.
The crowd, jumping and screaming, headbanging and giving us the
"rock and roll" hand salute, couldn't have been
better.
After Come and Get It, we kicked into "In
A Drama" which had people who'd never heard the song singing
along by the end of it.
Then we turned it up a notch for Hypocrite then She Makes Love (with the
Radio On), which thanks to 102.9's airplay had everyone singing it back
to us.
We had Spout shirts and ladies tanks available to sell at the show and
they were a smash!
You can get yours in the merchandise
section!
Thanks to everyone for making this
event as fun as it could be. The response was overwhelming and we
had a blast.
